Performance Is a Systems Problem
Most organizations treat underperformance as a people problem. We find the leverage points where targeted intervention produces lasting change.
The Practice
Leverage Point Performance was founded by Rebecca Hyer, a learning and performance strategist with more than twenty years of experience building L&D functions, leading teams, and designing systems that connect learning to measurable business outcomes.
Her work draws on Human Performance Technology, Gilbert's Behavior Engineering Model, and systems thinking to diagnose performance gaps and design interventions that address root causes — not just symptoms.
Why We Exist
Great training deserves better than broken systems.
For more than twenty years, the work at the center of this practice has been learning — the architecture of it, the craft of it, the profound human moment when someone builds a real skill and feels early momentum. That foundation never goes away.
But the better we got at building training that worked, the more clearly we could see when training wasn't the right lever. When the real constraint was unclear expectations, a broken feedback loop, or a process that undermined everything the learning was trying to build.
Leverage Point Performance exists at that intersection — bringing the rigor of instructional design and the diagnostic lens of Human Performance Technology to find where intervention will actually make a difference. Not to replace training. To make sure it lands.
